Here is a little about our work:

Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation (AIISF) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote a greater understanding of Pacific Coast immigration and its role in shaping America’s past, present and future. AIISF raise funds to restore, preserve and interpret the U.S. Immigration Station at Angel Island, a National Historic Landmark. In partnership with the California State Parks, AIISF educates the public about the complex story and rich cultural heritage of Pacific Coast immigrants and their descendants.

Angel Island Immigration Station was awarded National Historic Landmark status in 1997. As a result, a historic three-party agreement was signed between the California Department of Parks and Recreation, the National Park Service and AIISF to work together to preserve and restore the Immigration Station. AIISF has also forged a partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Please visit our website at http://www.aiisf.org/index.php/about/recent-achievements for more information on our accomplishments and www.aiisf.org for general information. We have a number of events scheduled to commemorate the 100th anniversary this year of the immigration station, including a Community Commemoration on Saturday, July 31.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the 25th!
