Welcome Letter

Welcome to the second historic gathering of representatives of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans working on historic preservation from across the country and Pacific. This year our theme is “Safeguarding and Sharing our American Stories”. We have come to Los Angeles at this key point in time to share our unique and diverse stories, to inspire one another as we seek to preserve our heritage, culture and communities. This year we seek to highlight the API voices and spaces in American history, define community needs and discuss ways in which we can engage in sustainable preservation work. We are grateful to our sponsors and to all who have worked so hard to make these days together a reality.

This Forum is dedicated to us -- let’s make the most of it!
